It is wholly owned by the HKSAR Government, and consolidates the management of the investment activities of the Hong Kong Growth Portfolio, Greater Bay Area Investment Fund, Strategic Tech Fund, and the Co-Investment Fund. Associate Director (Risk Management)
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake pre-deal assessment of investments, prepare clear and concise risk reports explaining key issues and assessment, and present them to the senior management
- Undertake post-deal monitoring of investments through performance review, analysis on capital deployment, distribution and returns
- Develop specialist sector skills and knowledge of private markets
- Undertake qualitative and quantitative analytical tasks for investment management and risk control purposes
- Assist in risk monitoring and control of organisational / operational aspects of the HKIC
- Perform other assigned tasks
Requirements
- University degree with good academic results in accountancy, economics, finance, investment management, risk management or related fields
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in financial services, investment management, risk management or related fields
- Experience in financial / operational due diligence processes
- Knowledge and expertise in private equity investments, especially in the aspects of investment and operational risks
- Good understanding of risk and internal controls applicable to organisation
- Committed to contributing to the development of Hong Kong and achieving the HKIC’s objectives
- Strong sense of integrity and professional ethics
- Good team player
- Logical and attention to details
- Willing to take on new challenges and share ideas
- Good understanding of the Basic Law of the HKSAR
- Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English
Remuneration Package
